Heritage • Public Spaces • Architecture
Venice offers a unique setting for exploring the relationship between architecture, history, and everyday urban life. Beyond its iconic landmarks, the city reveals a rich network of public spaces, canals, campi, calli, and neighbourhoods that have evolved over centuries. Through walking, observation, and critical inquiry, participants investigate how heritage is preserved, inhabited, and continuously reinterpreted. The Venice Chapter invites students to develop their own reading of the city by examining the dialogue between its architectural legacy, public realm, and contemporary culture.
